Vicky Boydell, PhD, is a social anthropologist specializing in sexual and reproductive health and rights. Dr. Boydell is a senior research associate at the Centre for Health Inequalities Research, University of Lancaster, UK. She was previously with the International Planned Parenthood Federation as senior rights and accountability advisor and with the UN Fund for Gender Equality. Alongside ethnographic and qualitative methods, she has experience conducting evidence synthesis, implementation research, cross-sectional and cohort studies. She has led several systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and scoping and rapid reviews related to contraception information and services, which have been published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Boydell has published extensively on social accountability, and sexual reproductive health and rights. In 2016, Dr. Boydell received the 120 Under 40 Award for the New Generation of Family Planning.
